Have you ever read Carmen Miessen Bussard's book on Martin Shellabarger which is on LDS film #1698282 item 12?

Here are the facts:

  1. The executors of Daniel (4) Goble's will were his brother, Robert Goble, and Ruben Winget.
  2. According to the book above Rueben Winget, born 1719 in Piscataway, Middlesex Co., NJ; died 1755 in Morristown, Morris Co., NJ. He was the son of Caleb Winget and Hope Hull. He married an Unknown Goble Abt. 1738 in NJ.
  3. According to the book above the unknown Goble woman was the daughter of Daniel Goble and Abigail.
  4. At the time of Daniel (4) Goble's death (1750) he mentioned his sons "Daniel and John (of age); Benjamin, Stephen and William (minors). Daughters: Sary Leonard, Hannah Axtell, Jemime, Elizabeth, Mary and Martha Goble (four unmarried and not 18)." He does not mention his wife by name so we conclude she is no longer alive in 1750.

I am speculating that Daniel (4) Goble and wife (possibly Abigail) had another daughter not mentioned in the will who may have married Ruben Winget and died prior to 1750. The dates of Daniel's marriage is estimated to be about 1720 and the dates of his first known children's births are also estimated. It is quite possible that Daniel had a daughter previous to Daniel (5) who may be this unnamed Goble woman. At least it gives us another place to start the search for Daniel (4) Goble's wife and a possible connection to the Winget family.
