The HULICK/GULICK Family Connection

Research done recently into the history of the Hulick/Gulick family has produced results.

Thanks to Mark McKee and Elmer Hulick we have located some missing branches of our Goble tree and discovered that the HULICK family, previously GULICK family is as old as the GOBLE family in America. We have also been able to identify errors in this line that remove the ORRIS family from the GOBLE bloodline.

"There is a new book on the market called "Gotham" about the history of New York City from the beginning to the 1870s. There are several references to the Gulick family and some other related families." The book discusses several aspects of the Massachusetts Bay Colony and how the English ran the Dutch out of New Amsterdam. The Hulicks were Dutch, while the Gobles were English. The book also talks about how the Dutch would harbor the exiled English who came down to the colonies from the North.

Mark will soon have a HULICK homepage on-line for review.
