Old Settlers Burial Ground in Lancaster, Massachusetts Lancaster's First Settlers Burial Field is obscured from the road, but not difficult
to find. This is Lancaster's earliest cemetery and it is also sometimes called
"The Indian Cemetery." Although no known native American's are buried there,
some of the earlier graves where the result of Indian attacks and the first settlers
were certainly contemporaries with local tribe members. Perhaps this is how it got
it's other, unofficial, nickname. John Houghton b. December 24, 1624 in St. Mary, Eaton Bray Co. Bedford, England d. April 29, 1684 in Lancaster, Worcester, Massachusetts
